About Heather Gorr, LPC-S

Heather Gorr, LPC-S, trauma-informed therapist and clinical supervisor based in Austin, Texas | Woman with dark curly hair standing smiling with one hand in her pocket, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans

I am Heather Gorr, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor based in Austin, Texas. I work with thoughtful and capable individuals who often sense that surface solutions are not enough and want to better understand the patterns shaping their relationships, reactions, and inner experience.

Many people who come to therapy are insightful and motivated to grow, yet still find themselves feeling stuck in ways that are difficult to explain. Our work together focuses on slowing down, making sense of what has shaped you, and gently loosening the grip of patterns that may have once helped you survive but no longer serve you.

Clients often share that they feel understood, supported, and steadied in our work together. Creating that kind of space, one that is thoughtful, grounded, and deeply attentive, is central to how I practice.

Faith & Perspective

My Christian faith is an important part of who I am and how I understand people, suffering, and healing. It informs how I show up without being imposed. I believe deeply in the integration of psychology and faith, with room for science, lived experience, and the parts of life that are not always easily explained.

I work with people from many belief backgrounds, including those who are questioning faith or who have been hurt by faith communities. I approach that work with respect, humility, and care for each person’s story.

A Little More About Me

Outside of the therapy room, music is one of my favorite ways to unwind. I have always loved how a song can tell a story and take you somewhere else for a few minutes. Every now and then, a lyric finds its way into a session. Although the singing will be free, I cannot guarantee it will be good.

In this season of life, I am also looking forward to becoming a wife and stepmom, a role that continues to shape how I think about relationships, growth, and the many ways people learn to care for one another.

My Professional Background

I have worked in the mental health field since 2008 across a range of clinical and organizational settings. Over time, that experience has shaped how I understand people, patterns, and the ways life experiences influence how we show up in relationships and in our own lives. An integration of training, professional experience, and personal work allows me to remain grounded, thoughtful, and attentive in the room.

About My Practice

At Agape Counseling Solutions, I believe people are more than what has happened to them. My work is rooted in the idea that healing is not just about managing symptoms, but about becoming who you were always meant to be beneath life’s experiences. Agape reflects the kind of care I strive to offer: steady, honest, and grounded in unconditional regard for the whole person. I am deeply committed to doing my own work and walking alongside others with both compassion and clarity.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: when individuals are supported in meaningful ways, the ripple effect can quietly change families, workplaces, and communities for the better. That is why my practice includes both individual therapy and corporate wellness work, because healthier people and healthier systems together support meaningful change.
